PEGylation of magnetic poly(glycidyl methacrylate) microparticles for microfluidic bioassays.
In this study, magnetic poly(glycidyl methacrylate) microparticles containing carboxyl groups (PGMA-COOH) were coated using highly hydrophilic polymer poly(ethylene glycol) (PEG). PEG was used to reduce nonspecific interactions with proteins and cells while decreasing adhesion of particles to the walls of a microfluidic devices from poly(dimethylsiloxane) (PDMS) and cyclic olefin copolymer (COC...
متن کاملInvestigation of microstructure of glycidyl methacrylate/a-methyl styrene copolymers by 1D- and 2D-NMR spectroscopy
The copolymers of glycidyl methacrylate/a-methyl styrene were synthesized. The quantitative C{H}-NMR spectroscopy was used to determine the copolymer compositions. The distortionless enhancement by polarization transfer, C-H heteronuclear single quantum coherence and total correlation spectroscopy were used for the complete spectral assignment of C{H}and H-NMR spectra.
متن کاملmicrostructural study on polyvinyl chloride by one and two dimensional nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy methods
in this research, the tacticity and microstructure of polyvinyl chloride (pvc) were studied through back bone methylene and methine carbons and protons splitting by carbon (13c nmr), proton (1h nmr) and two-dimensional (2dnmr) nulear magnetic resonance spectroscopy in deuterated etrahydrofuran.polyvinyl chloride was synthesized by emulsion polymerization of vinyl chloride (vcm) under pressure t...
متن کاملQuantitative nuclear magnetic resonance imaging: characterisation of experimental cerebral oedema.
Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) has been used quantitatively to define the characteristics of two different models of experimental cerebral oedema in cats: vasogenic oedema produced by cortical freezing and cytotoxic oedema induced by triethyl tin. The MRI results have been correlated with the ultrastructural changes. The images accurately delineated the anatomical extent of the oedema in the ...
متن کاملPharmacokinetics of vinylidene chloride.
Dear Sir: The recent article by McKenna et al. (1) on phar-macokinetics of vinylidine chloride (VDC) in the rat has evoked a number of thoughts. These relate both to one detail of data presentation from the excellent experimental studies and to the general role of pharmacokinetics in supporting risk assessment from high dose studies in mammals. The detail concerns Figure la (Figure 2 of the McK...
